Instinctive Archery in Stockholm, Sweden
The Mellansken Archery School is at home between the islands of the Stockholm Archipelago
The bow doesn’t teach you to aim – it teaches you to trust.
In Stockholm, something different begins.
No screens. No noise –
only forest, silence, and your hands on the bow.
Your body still knows what your mind has forgotten.
The moment
You’re looking for the moment when you stop thinking.
And when you release, you know:
It wasn’t luck. It was trust.
What happens here
You don’t learn to aim. You learn to trust.
Just you. A bow. A target. And hitting.
Why Mellansken
The name Mellansken grew out of my connection to Stockholm and the Stockholm Archipelago.
It is derived from the Swedish words mellan skären — “between the islands,” or more precisely, “between the skerries.”
The Swedish word skär refers to the small rocky islets that characterize the archipelago surrounding Stockholm.
Over time, it became more than just a place to me.
Mellansken represents the space between the islands, between departure and arrival, between the past and the future.

About me
My name is Uwe P. Tesch.
For over 25 years, I’ve been guiding people in instinctive archery –
in Germany, worldwide, and now in Stockholm..
Mellansken
In 2026, the Mellansken Archery School is founded.
A place where people learn not only to hit – but to arrive:
in themselves in nature in trust
