Instinctive Archery in Sweden
Mellansken Archery School
The bow doesn’t teach you to aim – it teaches you to trust.
In a world of screens – you finally feel your hands again.
Your mind works 24/7. Your body? Almost forgotten. The bow reminds you.
No flow. No talk. Just you, a bow, a target – and hitting it.
You’re looking for the moment when you stop thinking – and shoot.
My name is Uwe P. Tesch.
For over 20 years, I’ve taught instinctive archery –
in Germany, and now also in Sweden.

In 2026, I’m founding the Mellansken Archery School in Stockholm –
as a place where people learn not just to hit,
but to arrive: with themselves, in nature,
in trust.
hitting → Courses (DE & EN)
trust → Bows / Shop
understanding → About the School
How did “Mellansken” come about?
The name “Mellansken” arose from my deep connection to Stockholm – the city between the islands.
In Swedish, “between the islands” is “mellan skären”.
(“Skär” = small rocky islet in the sea – typical of the Stockholm archipelago.)
