Instinctive Archery in Stockholm, Sweden
Mellansken Archery School
The bow doesn’t teach you to aim – it teaches you to trust.
In Stockholm, something different begins.
No screens, no noise – only forest, silence, and your hands on the bow.
Your body still knows what your mind has forgotten.
Here, you don’t learn to aim – you learn to trust.
Just you, a bow, a target – and hitting it.
You’re looking for the moment when you stop thinking.
And when you shoot, you know:
It wasn’t luck. It was trust.
My name is Uwe P. Tesch.
For over 20 years, I’ve taught instinctive archery –
in Germany and now also in Stockholm, Sweden.

In 2026, I’m founding Mellansken Archery School –
as a place where people learn not just to hit,
but to arrive: with themselves, in nature,
in trust
How did “Mellansken” come about?
The name “Mellansken” arose from my deep connection to Stockholm – the city between the islands.
In Swedish, “between the islands” is “mellan skären”.
(“Skär” = small rocky islet in the sea – typical of the Stockholm archipelago.)
