About the School
Mellansken Archery School
The Mellansken Archery School will be founded in Stockholm in 2026.
It is not a retreat, not a workshop in the tourist sense –
but a place where people learn to shoot instinctive archery.
That means:
no sights, no overload of technique, no hours of talking.
Instead: bow in hand, forest around you, target ahead – and hitting it.
Founded by Uwe, who has taught instinctive archery for over 20 years –
in Germany and now also in Sweden.

Practice-oriented
Instinctive archery doesn’t work in the mind –
it works in the body.
At Mellansken Archery School, you learn
to trust your instinct instead of replacing it.
You won’t be “relaxed” or “grounded” – you’ll become accurate.
Through repetition, presence, and clear guidance.
Courses take place in small groups,
mostly in the forest or on open spaces near Stockholm.
No show. No ritual.
Just archery – pure, as it is.
Attitude over method
At Mellansken Archery School, it’s not about
becoming “better” – but about feeling again what it means to be fully here.
Not distracted. Not calculating.
But with the bow in your hand, your breath in rhythm – and the target in sight.
This is not philosophy.
This is everyday life – for everyone who seeks it.
For beginners and advanced
Whether you’ve never held a bow – or have been shooting for years:
Here, you won’t be judged – you’ll be guided.
The method is simple:
Little theory – Lots of practice
Direct feedback – No hierarchy
You don’t learn to be perfect –
you learn to hit when it matters.
Why Stockholm?
Sweden offers what many places have lost:
Space. Despite the city – silence and nature that isn’t staged.
In this environment, instinctive archery can emerge –
not as a hobby, but as living practice.
Mellansken Archery School uses these conditions –
not as a backdrop, but as part of the learning.
No belief – only experience
Instinctive archery is not a matter of faith.
It works.
At Mellansken Archery School, you test it yourself.
No promises. No myths.
Just you, your bow – and the target.
When you hit, you know: it wasn’t luck.
It was trust.
The bow as teacher
We don’t teach “the bow.”
The bow teaches us.
It shows you instantly when you’re unsure,
when you want too much, when you’re not present.
My job is to help you understand this language –
not to interpret it, but to act.
For whom is the school?
For everyone who
– wants to shoot, not talk,
– wants to hit, not dream,
– wants to arrive, not escape.
Whether archer, nature person, or seeker –
if you’re ready to trust your instinct,
you’re welcome.
No prerequisites.
Only respect – for nature,
the bow, and the target.
