Mellansken Archery School
The Mellansken Archery School is taking shape in Stockholm for 2026.
Not a retreat. Not a workshop in a tourist sense. A place
where people learn instinctive archery.
No aiming systems. No overload of technique. No endless talking.
Instead:
Bow in your hand. Practice.
A target in front of you – and hitting.
Founded by Uwe P. Tesch,
who has been teaching instinctive archery for over 25 years –
in Germany and now in Sweden.

Practice over theory
Instinctive archery doesn’t happen in the mind – it happens in the body.
You learn to trust your instinct, instead of replacing it.
Not through concepts. But through repetition. Presence.
Clear guidance. You don’t become “relaxed”.
You become accurate.
Small groups.
Mostly in nature – around Åkersberga, near Stockholm.
No show. No ritual.
Just archery – pure.
Attitude over method
This is not about becoming better. It’s about feeling again
what it means to be fully present.
Not distracted. Not calculating.
Bow in hand. Breath in rhythm.
Target in sight.
Not philosophy.
Practice.
For beginners and advanced
Whether you’ve never held a bow – or have been shooting for years:
You are not judged. You are guided. Little theory.
A lot of practice.
Direct feedback. No hierarchy. You don’t learn to be perfect –
you learn to hit when it matters.
Why Stockholm?
Sweden offers what many places have lost: Space. Silence.
Nature that is not staged. Even close to the city – around Åkersberga.
Here, instinctive archery becomes not a hobby, but a living practice.
The Mellansken Archery School uses this environment not as a backdrop –
but as part of the learning.
No belief – only experience
Instinctive archery is not belief. It works. You test it yourself.
No promises. No myths. Just you, your bow – and the target.
What matters is not belief.
It’s hitting.
The bow as teacher
We don’t teach the bow. The bow teaches you.
It shows you immediately: when you hesitate, when you force,
when you’re not present.
My role is to help you understand this language.
Not to interpret – but to act.
Who this is for?
For those who:
– don’t want to talk, but shoot
– don’t want to dream, but hit
– don’t want to escape, but arrive
Whether archer, nature lover, or seeker – if you’re ready to trust your instinct,
you are welcome. No prerequisites.
Only respect – for nature, the bow,
and the target.
